Andrea Tortorella: «Here’s how our Survey Chain project works»

At the event organised by the Italian political party UDC “Politics & Business”, Consulcesi Tech presented its “Survey Chain” project, showing to the audience how it works. Andrea Tortorella, CEO of the leading company in Blockchain and Cybersecurity, submitted a survey about the major Italian political issues to the participants’ smartphones. By storing their answers in a Cloud and by transcribing them on Blockchain, the results are unalterable, safe and always verifiable: this way, all those who answer can know the voting pattern of the survey and analyse its supply chain.

«In many different occasions – said Andrea Tortorella – such as the Presidential elections in the United States or the Brexit referendum, polls were wrong, and some of them were even questioned. This can’t happen, it mustn’t happen. And Blockchain technology can be a way to avoid such phenomenon in the future».

«Blockchain makes documents certain and inviolable, and surveys are documents. As we showed at the UDC meeting, it therefore can make polls and surveys certain and certified, letting every user check whether the final results are those which were originally created».

In order to do so and make such projects real, however, new professionals and new skills are needed. That’s why Consulcesi Tech, together with the Link Campus University, has launched an MBA in “Blockchain and Economics of Cryptocurrencies”: «It does not only deal with engineering and programming topics, but provides education also in economics and law. In fact – said Tortorella – Blockchain technology is involved in every human activity, and it is also creating, as the Internet did, many new jobs and professionals that we couldn’t even imagine a short time ago. It is therefore fundamental that young people are taught these new skills and this new way to approach work».
