Migration, asylum procedures at the time of blockchain

The German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAFM) carried out a proof-of-concept and believes that blockchain can improve asylum procedures. Marie Huillet (Cointelegraph) explains that the test focused two crucial aspects of asylum procedures: the creation of reliable and secure digital identities and improving communication and cooperation between authorities at a municipal, state and national level. An asylum system based on this technology would also be compatible with the GDPR.
