Malta, the fintech regulation works well: it is the blockchain island

Malta, the smallest economy in the European Union has established itself as the “the blockchain island”. In an interview with Nour Al Ali and Eddie van der Walt of Bloomberg, Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said the government is taking a “calculated risk”.
The law in favor of fintech have wiped out much of the bureaucracy, while ensuring minimum rates of 5 percent to encourage the trading and issuance of cryptocurrencies. The island is attracting a large number of digital coin investors.
