EU, a blockchain association is born: regulation is the goal
The European Union has set up an association based on the promotion of the blockchain. More than 100 signatories (politicians, firms and startups) have created the International Association of Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA). Chris O’Brien (Venture Beat) explains that the new body intends to encourage specific initiatives. “Developing a regulatory framework around distributed ledger and blockchain technologies is essential to their widespread adoption and growth,” said Dominik Schiener, cofounder and co-chair of IOTA Foundation.
