Cryptocurrencies to rebuild Notre Dame

After the fire in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris a charitable giving started to raise money towards the reconstruction of the building. Numerous transactions have already been made through traditional currencies but also cryptocurrencies are playing an important role in this operation. Esther Kim (Bitcoinist) explains that the bitcoin podcaster Gregory Raymond launched a campaign to collect donations. His message is clear: “Hey bitcoiners, let’s prove to the french authorities Bitcoin can be an amazing way to send funds quickly, without border (sic) and for a good cause.”
