Technological innovation has stopped in Rome. For the first time, the capital of Italy has hosted the Blockchain Week. The event, organised by Blockchain Management SL at the Mercure Hotel Roma West, gathered enterprises, experts and start-ups. Among them, there was also a leading company in this new sector: Consulcesi Tech, that organised the first MBA in “Blockchain and Economics of Cryptocurrencies” together with Link Campus University.

«Blockchain technology is making inroads – said Gianluigi Pacini Battaglia, CEO of Consulcesi Tech –. We apply it every day to surveys and education, and we therefore know it very well. That’s why Link Campus University asked us to organise this MBA: this way, we can integrate the university’s economic and legal competences with Consulcesi Tech’s technical competences».

«Students can take advantage of the multi-device learning – said he while explaining the details of the course -. They can attend lessons via tablet or computer, wherever and whenever they want». It is an «extremely versatile system, because demand is all over the country», therefore «obligating people to go to Rome would be too limiting».

The course includes three modules: two of them introduce the general topic and then there is an insight on the development sectors. «The first one is about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The second one deals with the technical and legal aspects – said the CEO of Consulcesi Tech – because blockchain and cryptocurrencies need very good competences especially in these two areas. Each student, then, chooses the third module he or she prefers. They can therefore choose the field of application among those that are universally seen as the most interesting ones for this technology: logistics, fintech, health and smart contracts. It enables the course to have a big audience and to offer every student the possibility of specialising in the sector he or she is interested in».

Also Link Campus University personnel attended the event: «Our motto is “Training future leaders” and blockchain seems to be one of the future fundamental sectors. We are here because we want to show our cutting-edge educational offer, in collaboration with Consulcesi Tech. This is a very young and dynamic sector, that offers new job possibilities. Our ambition is to teach those who will enrol in the MBA those competences and skills that can be invested in the blockchain sector».

«Blockchain is here to stay – said Michele Ficara Manganelli, editor-in-chief of assodigitale.it – and it represents the main technological revolution of the last 30 years -. However, there aren’t enough specialised people in this sector yet. Italian companies are often forced to look for foreign experts, since Blockchain technology is already much more affirmed abroad. Italian education in this field is therefore very important».
