Surveys for the pharmaceutical industry, Continuing medical education, cryopreservation of stem cells. These are only some of the sectors where Blockchain technology can ensure data traceability and certainty, bringing real changes and improvements to them. Consulcesi Tech has already explored these sectors and created working Blockchain-based platforms, as Andrea Tortorella, CEO of Consulcesi Tech and vice-president of the Link Campus University Blockchain Observatory, explained during the conference “Blockchain in healthcare: opportunities and perspectives” that took place at the Italian Senate.

«I wanted to show how this technology already works and how simple it is, since its solidity stands on its simplicity» said he. Andrea Tortorella then gave the details of the projects that Consulcesi Tech has already started, like the application of the Blockchain to the surveys conducted in the pharmaceutical industry thanks to an important partnership with IQVIA, leader of the sector: «Our lives are based on surveys, that are common not only in politics or marketing but also in healthcare. However, we know how fundamental it is to have verified and real information, otherwise the consequences might be pretty dangerous. The Blockchain is the ideal solution to reach these goals, and that’s why important actors of the sector are interested in this technology».

Being the spin-off of Consulcesi Group, that offers different training courses and services to physicians, Consulcesi Tech has then focused its attention on education and Continuing medical education: «Our Albanian CME platform is already Blockchain-based. This means that the whole learning process, not only the final result, is registered and certified on it. Once the doctor gets his/her certificate, he/she will be able to show it to his/her patients, to the Public administration or to the assurance company in order to get discounts – said Tortorella -. We also know that there are a lot of lawsuits against physicians. Well, in case of trial, Blockchain-based education can also be used as a not appealable proof. And soon, in the next few days – Andrea Tortorella announced -, we will apply such a system also to our Italian training platforms».

Of course, the same advantages can be granted to the whole education system, making it less simple to write false information on resumés: «If the whole learning process is registered on the Blockchain, as an employer I will be able to check whether that person actually attended an English course or got a Master’s degree. And knowing this, the person who writes the resumé will be a bit more careful».
