A partnership for medical consent via blockchain is born

The Bitfury Group, a bitcoin and blockchain technology firm and Longenesis has partnered to offer a blockchain consent management system for healthcare. Maricel Custodio (BlockTribune) explains that doctors and researchers are now able to do a better job of tracking and managing patient consent, making it easy for patients to change or withdraw their consent. The system is fully compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is using an immutable, transparent Exonum blockchain to record all updates to user consent, with timestamping for future auditing.
