Mathematical reputation for more secure blockchain

Researchers at the University of Luxembourg have launched a system, called RepuCoin, by introducing the concept of reputation in the blockchain. As explained on EurekAlert website, the project was developed at the University’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust and can be applied in areas such as fintech, energy, food supply chains, health care and future 5G telecommunications networks. RepuCoin is based on the miner’s reputation: it is a mathematical reputation and not a social one.
