Japan, a cryptocurrency for seafaring workers

Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), one of the oldest and largest shipping companies in the world, is introducing its own digital currency for crew members in order to semplify for seafaring workers managing, sending and converting money into their local currencies. Kiyotaka Matsuda on Bloomberg writes that the cryptocurrency would be pegged to the U.S. dollar.
