Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Goldman Sachs-backed startup Circle, believes that the major economies should launch a common regulation on cryptocurrencies. Tom Wilson reports it on Reuters. “Ultimately there needs to be normalization at the G20 level of critical crypto-related regulatory matters,” Allaire said.
The Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF) said that jurisdictions around the world should authorize or regulate cryptocurrency trade to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. It is a significant step towards international standards.
