After Amsterdam and Berlin, a shared office space opens in London through its own blockchain-run token-based system for fintech professionals.
The goal of the company promoting the project, explains Joe Wallen on Forbes, is ” to give the tech sector a grounding point and a community that works together to achieve shared commercial objectives.”
While London is booming as a fintech hub – with the sector attracting over $980 million worth of investment in 2017 – many start-ups still cannot afford to rent large office space in the city.
The benefits of co-working are numerous. A recent study conducted by Deskmag and Deskwanted found that 74% of co-workers were more productive, 86% had a larger business network and an incredible 93% of correspondents had a bigger social network. Over two-thirds of those polled said they felt more creative and collaborated more on projects, while a third reported that they had seen an increase in income once they switched to co-working. For an industry as emergent as the fintech sector, such a space in London is likely to revolutionize the industry allowing for an unprecedented sharing of ideas and joint innovation.
