SMEs take up the challenge of the blockchain

We.trade company is using IBM’s blockchain in collaboration with 14 European major banks to form a blockchain-based network. Darryn Pollock (Forbes) explains that the operation concerns commercial finance “opening the door to trade finance for 70 percent of small and mid-sized business in Europe that previously did not have access.” In this way the customer has the pick of an array of global banking options to best suit its trade financing needs. The banks are, in turn, opened up to a new marketplace of customers.
